October 24, 2018 - World Polio Day

If you’ve been in our office in the past couple of months you might have noticed the collection jar we’ve had out in preparation for World Polio Day.

Rotary International began its fight against polio in 1979 and since the late eighties, we have seen a worldwide reduction in polio cases of 99.9%  Last year, there were just 22 new cases of polio throughout the entire world.

The human race is imminently close to eradicating polio forever. Getting to and pushing past that finish line will require a tremendous and unwavering effort all the way to the end. For more information on the fight against polio or how you can get involved, please visit endpolionow.org or feel free to reach out to John or Matt.

Pictured below are children participating in vaccination efforts in India, Africa and Pakistan. The purple mark on the baby’s pinky finger is an indicator for identifying those who have received the vaccine.
